STARAT CHAIR is a chair made from stacked XPS panels that have been thermally fused together. By repurposing a standard construction material, this chair takes on soft, almost organic lines, despite its rigidity. This piece questions our relationship with industrial materials, their potential for transformation, and the boundaries between structure and softness. Designed in a plastic research workshop (bel albatros), it is the result of direct experimentation, without molds, in a spirit of raw and intuitive gesture.
